August 29th, 2016

Well my week was fun, Quito was nice, but it is horrible because I'm going back again today.  My companion has to renew his Visa.  I just want to stay in Riobamba and teach the gospel.  I didn't meet with president, he just talked to all of us as a group.  It was nice, he is an amazing person.

It is nice you guys' week was good.  The investigator I'm teaching is named ___________, we didn't visit him because we were in Quito, and on Thursday he left for work and won't get back until next Thursday.  He said he is going to read El Libro de Mormón.  I'm no longer sick, and I'm in love with chocolate cereal with milk, the milk is really weird alone but, in things, it is amazing.  A new thing I love is fried mashed potatoes, they are amazing.

Sorry I don't have pictures, but I love all of you so much, and have a great week.

August 22nd, 2016

It is crazy you all started school/work.  I hope you all have a great year and learn a lot.  I had a dream about school the other day, and I'm very happy I never have to go back to high school.  School started here today, so it is hard to teach families in the afternoon.  But we found a new investigator, and he is a incredible guy.  All our lessons are in English because he has family that live in America and he hasn't had the opportunity to speak English for a long time.  He is really good at speaking English.  He knows I'm trying to learn Spanish so, before every lesson, I practice Spanish with him.  The spirit is amazing when we teach him.  The first lesson we had with him we forgot to bring a Book of Mormon to give him and he got mad so the next day we brought him one.  He just wanted us to tell him all about the Book of Mormon, in English.  He works for a week at the border with Columbia then gets a week off and goes home.  So we only see him every other week, but it is an  amazing experience.

Sorry I don't have pictures; my flash drive is being weird.  I don't have a cord for my camera, but the place we email from lets me use one that they have.  My companion is great, we get a long so well,  and he is teaching me a lot.

I just love being on a mission.  Even though I'm always thinking of home and my life after the mission, I never want to leave Ecuador.  I love serving the Lord so much and the spirit is amazing.

I hope you all have a great week and I love you all so much.

August 15th, 2016

I got to go to Baño today and, I know the name is funny, but it was a cool place.  We hiked to a huge waterfall, it was really cool, I had so much fun.

My week has been good.  I got really sick Tuesday and did nothing but rest on Wednesday, but I'm feeling much better now.  They think I got sick from not eating healthy.  The members have not been feeding us this past week so me weren't really eating right, but now we are.  I love all the food here.  I tried dragon fruit, it was really weird.  I sent a picture of it.  But the fruit here is great.  I still need to make a smoothie.  The juice is great but you only get one cup a meal so you only get a taste, but is is great here.

I'll will be going to Quito next week and I'll be there for about 4 days.  I hope you have a great week and I love you all so much.

August 8th, 2016

Riobamba is nice.  The volcanoes are cool.  Riobamba is the richer part of Ecuador, the work is really slow here, we have no investigators just 4 in-actives.  I'm creating a plan that will hopefully change that.  My companion is very nice, he has been here for a year, his name is Marc.  My Spanish is very slowly improving, but my companion says I'm starting to say words in Spanish without knowing.

The food is great, lots of rice.  They eat eggs on rice in the mornings, it is really weird but good.  I will try and send pictures when I get a cord or something, but a lot of the computers have viruses, so I'll see what happens when I get a cord.  It has been about 66 degrees all the days I've been here.  It's the dry season right now so I've not seen any rain and everything is dead, there's no green.

It is funny because the branch mission leader is huge into doTERRA, he sells it here.  He likes to give it to us when we are sick, but luckily I have not gotten sick yet.  My mission president is really nice, and all the ward members are really nice, and the people we teach are nice too.

Anyway, I love you all so much and have a great week.

(August 2nd)

I just wanted to say I made it, it was a crazy long flight.  The Quito Ecuador airport is tiny, it was a crazing landing, the wind was blowing the plane everywhere.  When I was flying to Colombia, we flew over a storm, it was really cool to see all the lighting.  I have a few pictures but I will send them on my p-day which should be Monday.  I find out my area and new companion tomorrow.  I love you all so much, and have a good week.

(August 6th)

The wife of Elder Robertson's mission president, Sister Christensen let us know that Elder Robertson has been assigned to serve in Riobamba, Ecuador as his first area and his companion is Elder Taylor.  She also sent instructions on sending letters and packages so if anyone needs his address let us know.  She also sent us some pictures from the mission home and from a zone conference in Riobamba.
