May 29th, 2018

Well, it was cool mom got her new job, and dad, and Ellie, and hopefully me. :)

The week was good. We got some references that are really good. I feel like our work is starting to pay off, AND I'M LEAVING, in a week. So I hope my comp and his new companion will have a good time next change. :)

This week was an emotional roller coaster, some days I'm angry , others happy, and others I'm really sad and I don't want to go home. Our ward mission leader knows when I'm upset because if he is around he usually just hugs me and tells me everything is going to be alright, and that he will miss me. He is a great guy.

Everything is going fine, it is still raining a lot, but we are finally finding people to teach, but I don't think anyone will be baptized this week. But it is not who baptizes them it is just that they get baptized. I know in time a lot of the people we are finding will get baptized, and it will be great.

Sorry this is short, but if I tell you guys everything now, we will have nothing to talk about on June 5th, but I love you all and hope you have a great week.

Oh, and tell the bishop about me giving a talk for 15  to 20 minutes that my last talk was half an hour so I think it would be best if I was the only speaker :) no just kidding, about the only speaker thing.

May 21st, 2018

Well, it sounds like you guys' week wasn't so good, Ellie had a lot of exams, and mom THINKS she had a bad interview, but I bet she did great. It is cool dad and Keenan went fishing.

Today for me was really boring. I had a self reliance class that was for everyone leaving this change. It was trunky, and took up the whole day. It started at 8:00 and ended at like 3:00, and we live like an hour and a half from the office, that is where the class was.

This week was good. I guess the bishop here doesn't really like us. They had a conference with the zone leaders and I guess the bishop feels like we are not working, but we are. Just no one wants to listen to us. But one of our investigators went to church so that was cool. We are teaching his family and there are 6 of them and he is one of the older kids, he is 20. But he is great, well the whole family is great but he is progressing more.

Also, one of our investigators should be getting married this week so we will put a fecha(date) for him for baptism.

Sorry this is short, but I love you guys and hope you have a great week. I don't know but I might just write you guys one more time from the mission because next Monday might be my last p-day to write you guys.

Elder Robertson filmed this this week, they were fine:

May 14th, 2018

Well it was good talking with you guys yesterday, I think every Skype call gets weirder, and slower.
But I think this week is going to be good. Today I bought some stuff. I just can't believe when people here see a white guy in Sunday clothes, they just think he is rich, and when he wants to buy a pencil they will try charging him 20 dollars. Everything here they try charging you a ton, but usually you just need to talk with them for a little bit and then they lower they prices.

It is still raining, it was a little clear this morning but right now it is just gray and a little cold.

Sorry this is short, next week I will have things to talk about, but I have no idea why but right now I'm so tired.

I love you guys and hope you guys have a great week.

May 7th, 2018

At first I almost could not recognize Ellie in some of her pictures. And Ellie, I can believe it was a pound of make up.

It is cool mom and dad had a good time in Arizona. I can't wait to feel dry heat again and not have rain every day. But I bet it was nice to talk to some of mom's family.

This week was better but I got sick again, so on Saturday we didn't do much. I could hardly walk, but today I'm better,

We found a new family to teach. The family is huge but we have only taught 5 members of the family. The Dad said he was catholic but he just feels like they are wrong, and that their baptism is not valid. His wife and two kids I think just want to learn more about God and Christ, so we will see what happens with them but I think in total the family is like 8 people.

We started teaching a woman. Her two kids are members and one is on a mission, but she never wanted to get baptized. The missionaries have been teaching her for some time. So we tried to talk to her and we asked if she ever prayed about it, and she said no. So we talked about prayer for a little bit and receiving answers, and then we invited her to pray. I don't know if she prayed but I think she did because she went to church with her daughter, who is a member. So we are going to talk with her more this week.

I love you guys and hope you guys have a great week.

April 30th, 2018

It is cool school gets out soon, and that you guys get a break. I'm not ready for school to get out.

My comp. is from Peru, we are getting along, but he has a year in the mission, so we keep joking that what I have left in months he has left in years, meaning I have one month left and he has one year left.

This week was good. It has been raining about every day, and this week we have mainly been contacting. This week we should have some lessons with members and investigators, so it should be better.

Sunday we had an area conference. Well, just Colombia and Ecuador, so some of the seventy talked and Elder Ballard. It was interesting because I have never heard of them doing area conferences, but some of the people were in Salt Lake and others in Peru, I think. But they just talked about the changes that were made in conference, so I think they just felt that Colombia and Ecuador were struggling to understand the changes. But I feel bad because I slept through half of it.

It was sad because we saw a girl get robbed. A motorcycle just drove up to her and there were two guys and one jumped off and grabbed the girl by her hair and ripped her to the ground, and then tried getting her cell phone or something. By then we were running up to them and, when they saw us, the the guy jumped back onto the motorcycle and almost fell off when they drove off. By then there were tons of people gathered around to see what happened so then we left.

I love you guys and hope you guys have a great week.

April 23rd, 2018

It is cool you guys got a little snow storm, maybe I will too when I get home, in June. hahahaha

But changes were today so I have entered my last change, and I'm getting a new comp., his name is elder Salazar.

This week was nicer, it hasn't rained that much, and a family we have, named familia _______, are great. The mom is a member but the dad is an investigator, and we have only taught him three times. But he is great, he says that he has to be baptized as soon as possible, and he wants us to visit him every day, but we told him we can't do that just because he lives 45 minutes away, but he has said that his life is already changing with just us teaching him, so he is really cool.

We have not found anyone new to teach, but hopefully this week we will find new people to teach,

Today I went to by a suit, and it is custom made. But I hope it will turn out the way I want it to. At first I didn't think they would ask so many questions about how I want the suit, so a lot of stuff I just said, "What ever you think is best", but we will see what happens when they finish it.

Sorry this is short but I love you all and hope you guys have a great week.

April 16th, 2018

Well, life is going good, and my health his back to normal, which is great.

The weather has been great this week, the sun has been out most of the days, and it just feels amazing.

We got a reference from the church, and we are going to visit him tomorrow but when I called him he sounded so excited to talk with us. The problem is that he lives in a city about 45 minutes from here, so we can only visit him every so often, but I'm excited to visit him.

The familia we are teaching is doing alright we trie to give them a baptismal date but they didn't want to accept it. The dad and his kids are great, but they don't want to do anything without their mom, the dad even shared a scripture from the Book of Mormon to help his kids with a question they had.
The mom told us she doesn't want to let go of her catholic traditions, so we are going to do every thing we can to help her.

The members are helping us with them so we will see what happens in time

Life is good, I'm starting to not be able to eat chicken, my stomach is not wanting it.
Right now I'm starting to eat as much fruit as I can, because I know it will not be the same when I go home.

I love you all and hope you guys have a great week.

April 9th, 2018

It is good you guys had a fun time in southern Utah, I love southern Utah. I always loved going camping there and stuff, and the pictures are cool.

It rained a lot this week, but today the sun came out for a little bit, it feels amazing now. I hope this week will start to be more sun than rain.

I also got sick this week. On Wednesday it started up and I could barely walk and I was shaking like crazy and could barely breathe. I thought I was going to die, but then Thursday was better. Now I'm alright, my body is still recovering a little, but I think this week I will be fine again. I just have no idea what hit me.

We also had a zone conference this week too, which was alright. President Barlow just talked about how we need to work with members more, and I think it is true.

The family of 6 is good, we will ask them to be baptized this week so we will see what happens.

It is funny because I got an email from Spencer Chapple saying he has a year in the mission, I want to reply to him that I have 2 months left in the mission. It is funny, all the members are already planing to do things with me before I go home so my last week in the mission is becoming a little crowded.

I love the mission, and I love you guys and have a great week. Oh, and can you guys send me your t- shirt sizes including Keenan's and Taylor's. Thanks.

April 2nd, 2018

Well, I have to agree that conference was great, and I love the changes. I felt amazing when president Nelson talked, I love him. I liked at the end when president Nelson said we are entering a new era of ministering. I like these changes because it means we are progressing as a church, or better said, Christ is preparing us for his second coming. I also liked in the priesthood session when president Nelson told everyone to rise with him and then sing too.

It is cool you guys are in Blanding, I hope you guys see a lot of stars, I love looking at stars, you can only see a few here, but they are still stars.

Also, Saturday in the morning session I was telling everyone that you guys were there. I can't wait to go to a session again.

This week was good, it has been raining like crazy. and this week just flew by.
This week we were visiting a family and the mom asked us for scriptures in the Book of Mormon that would help her have a better relationship with her son, or just how she could talk to him. So I thought it was cool just because she wanted scriptures from the Book of Mormon. The family is great, and hopefully they will be baptized soon.

We haven't found anyone new to teach, just a reference that a member gave us, and I feel like she has been prepared, she a attended a lot of churches, and none of them felt right, so she said she wants to learn about this church, and she said she already feels better, before we even taught her. She has a family so I hope we can talk to them to.

I love "Jesus the Christ" it is a great book.
Have a great weekend, I love you all.

March 26th, 2018

Well, it is cool you guys got a little bit of snow, it has been raining like crazy here. It is cool that dad got at job at Copper Mountain middle school and I hope mom gets her new job that she wants.

We had a baptism this week; it was an 11 year-old kid, his mom is a member. I really had nothing to do with him getting baptized, but it is cool to see baptisms.

We have a few investigators right now, but I think we are going to really start sectorizing, just so we aren't in buses the whole day running between lessons.  Just so we can get more done in the day, mainly contacting.

The members in this ward are cool, and they are starting to give us references. Yesterday we did some visits with the elder's quorum. I think they wanted us to show them how to teach, and do visits because the ward wants to get better with home teaching and stuff.

Time is just flying by. I don't like it, it feels like every week is just going by faster and faster. I'm started to stress about going home, about what I'm going to study, where I'm going to study, where I'm going to work, and just stuff like that. I'm trying not to think about, but it just can't leave my head.

I have started reading Jesus the Christ and I love it, and I have learned so much. I really don't know why I didn't like reading before, because now I love it.

Life is going good, and I love you guys and hope you guys have a great week.

March 19th, 2018

This week was good, the sector I am in is the biggest in the mission, it is crazy and huge. My comp is Elder Alanoca and he is cool, he is from Bolivia. We get along.

This sector is called Manantial, and I guess a lot of missionaries have ended their missions here. I will get my address next time, and a picture of my comp.

It has rained a lot this last week, it is raining right now, but the lighting is really cool. This week we were contacting and lightning hit really close to us and all the power went out and then turned back on, it was really weird but cool.

I think this will be a good last two changes. We just have to take a ton of buses, but there a few investigators here, and one should be baptized this week.

Sorry is didn't answer your questions from last time, but if you guys want to sing it is fine with me, but also I know that it is going to be crazy. I plan on buying a suit and making t-shirts, and buy a lot of other things, I don't plan on spending too much, but yeah. ;)

I don't think I'm going to get to trunky. If anything, I'm just sad, I don't want to leave, there are times I want to but most of the time I don't want to. This change I just can't believe how fast time is going

I love you guys and hope you have a nice week.

March 12th, 2018

Well, we got changes and I'm going to some part of southern Quito, but I'm excited.  Yeah, I think it will be my last comp and sector in the mission.  I cant believe how fast time is going.  But I'm excited for general conference, I can't wait for it.

It is cool Ellie got called on to the seminary council, I bet she will do great. It is good dad gets his stitches out. It is funny you guys had daylight saving, I don't know how I will feel to go home and have time changes twice a year.

This week was alright, today we made root beer floats, just because there is a restaurant here that sells root beer, so it is cool.

We didn't find anyone new this week just a lot of contacting. We had ward conference and our converts brought some friends so that was cool. The stake leaders talked to the ward council that they need to give us references, but since I'm leaving I want know if the ward will give them any.

I love you guys and hope you all have a great week.

March 5th, 2018

This week not a lot happened. We have started finding some new people to teach, and some of our investigators are giving us references, so I hope they will progress. We found one guy and and he said he has been looking at a lot of churches but he feels like something is always missing, so it should be cool to teach him.

Also this week my comp lost his pants, we have no idea what happened to them but even his belt whet missing. We think at night he just threw them out the window without knowing, because we searched the whole house.

Changes are this week but I think I'm going to get changed to a different sector, I hope. I'm probably going to buy a suit soon, and a bunch of other things.

It is cool Ellie went to prom, I hope dad broke her date's hand.
Sorry this is short but I love you guys and hope you have a great week.
