This week we had a baptism and it was good, a few members were there, and there was food at the end. It has been about a year since there has been a baptism here (in this area). Before the baptism, our investigators found some opposition because one of the investigators was walking home one night and some guys attacked him. It was the day before his baptism. So Wednesday night the ward mission leader called us and said that he didn't want to be baptized. So Thursday night we went to his house and talked with him to see if he was alright. At the end we gave him a blessing and after he said he still wanted to be baptized. When he said that I just got really happy my comp cried and his mom started crying and, yeah, it was cool. So in the end we baptized them and I have a picture, I will just give it to you guys next week.
Other than that not a lot happened. We contacted some references and we think some of them might progress but we are visiting one this Thursday so we will see what happens.
Sorry this is short but I love you guys and hope you have a great week.
Elder Dallin Robertson is serving in the Quito Ecuador Mission as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Elder Robertson left on June 21, 2016 and will return sometime around June of 2018. Missionaries have a limited time to respond to all the E-mails and letters they receive so we will include here some of his letters home so that friends and family can keep up to date on how things are going for him and his ministry among the wonderful people of Ecaudor.

This week has been alright. We are going to have the baptism this week, so that will be good. Our investigators had read about the church on the internet, and found a lot of false things, so after we talked to them, they wanted to get baptized.
This week we had a little elder quorum activity, we just played soccer but it was good because a few of our investigators went.
Today and tomorrow we can't do anything because it is carnival. It is just a huge water fight. Well, we can visit people but we can contact or wander the streets. Today I got hit by some foam when we were walking to our house from the store, but luckily it didn't do anything to my clothes.
Sorry this is short this week, not a lot happened. Just hoping a few of our investigators are going to start progressing.
I love you guys and hope you have a great week, and I will send pictures next week of the baptism.

Well, thanks for the video. I can't believe it is my birthday, or that I only have four months left, time is just flying by.
It is cool you guys are going to trek this year, it will be tough because I will have like two months home when you guys go to trek.
The family we were supposed to baptize this week fell through. She called us and said they had some conflicts. But we are going to talk with them tomorrow, and figure everything out. We still haven't found any one new to teach, and our electric shower still doesn't work.
Yesterday there was some voting on new laws in Quito and I guess a lot of riots started up. So we had to be in our houses at 6 pm, but nothing really happened in our sector.
Other than that nothing much has happened. I finished the Book of Mormon, I started it like in November and now I'm starting it over. I'm going to focus on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I never realized how much I love reading the Book of Mormon; almost every day it is so hard for me to stop reading it. When I read, I feel like I'm there, and it is just an emotional roller coaster. Really, when I was reading when Christ was visiting the Americas, I felt the same as the Nephites, I didn't want Christ to leave, and when I read of the destruction of the Nephites it was so sad to me. I just know that the Book of Mormon is true and I love it!
Sorry this is short but I hope you guys have a great week and I love you all.
