Well, life is good. It is awesome it got down to 11 degrees at home, I wish it got that cold here. With all the rain we have been getting it has been colder here, but I would just say it got down to like 58, one night, it was nice.
This week was fine. We don't have a lot of people to teach, I think it is slower than Riobamba. But the members are great. 3 families are having Christmas parties that we are going to. One day we were talking to one of them about Christmas and elder Morales told them it was my first Christmas from home "alone" and the family looked at me and said that I will not be alone this Christmas because I have them to be with, and my companion. it was nice.
On Friday we are having a Christmas party at President Christensen's house so that will be fun.
I love you all, and, until Sunday.
Elder Dallin Robertson is serving in the Quito Ecuador Mission as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Elder Robertson left on June 21, 2016 and will return sometime around June of 2018. Missionaries have a limited time to respond to all the E-mails and letters they receive so we will include here some of his letters home so that friends and family can keep up to date on how things are going for him and his ministry among the wonderful people of Ecaudor.

December 12th, 2016
Well, life is good. It rained almost every day, it was nice. The members here are great, and my
companion is great, his name is Elder Morales. We don't have many people to teach, so it is kind of slow here. But I like it here. It is different than Riobamba, there are just so many more people.
There is a huge mall that we go shopping at, but it is bad because it makes me feel like I'm in Utah. Here in Quito they have a bus system that works like the trax system in Utah, they have their own lanes and everything, but it is scary because they are crazy drivers. So you kind of have to hold on for you life.
My sector is all up hill or down hill, it really is working my legs. But I think I was sent here because a lot of missionaries here are having knee problems and one day I was talking with Hermana Christensen about how I skied before the mission, and she told me that that is great because it really works out your knees and legs. Then she told me that that I will probably never have knee problems. So I think I might be here in Quito for the rest of my mission, on the side of mountains, and lots of hills.
Sorry I don't have much to talk about, just not a lot happens here. I will send you pictures but it won't be a lot because this computer is really slow. In half an hour it has only downloaded 3, and I have 26. So I guess, over time, you will see my sector and my companion and house.
I love you all so much, and have a great week, and, to dad, those Hamburgers look really good.

December 5th, 2016
I'm now in Quito, the sector is Villaflora, and my companions name is Elder something, I forgot, I will know his name by next week. He is a Latino. It was hard leaving Riobamba. I just loved the people we taught, but know I get to do it all over again; find people, love them, and then leave. It is nice here. I don't know really were I am, but there is a statue of an angel and I'm just east of it on the mountain. Our house is nice, it is big, like my other one. It has two bathrooms, and electric showers. But the house is really dirty, so hopefully I can fix that. A member doesn't wash our clothes here, so I have to hand wash them, we will see how that goes.
I'll get pictures of the house and my companion next week.
I have not received any packages, it usually takes 6 weeks.
We get to Skype on the 25th. I don't know what time yet, but I will find out for next week.
Life is good, I got to watch the Christmas devotional but it was in Spanish so I didn't understand much. The music was good. I'm excited to meet new people and my Spanish is improving every day.
I love you all so much and hope you have a great week. I will send you pictures next week. I have a few of the families I taught.
