February 27th, 2017

All the snow looks great, and I'm very happy for Gavin, but I will get home about 11 months before him.  It has been raining for the about the last 3 days here, I want to see the sun again.

The baptism was great, we baptized Jhair.  Gloria will be on Saturday, it was cool because I baptized Jhair.  It was an amazing experience that words just can't describe.  It was a little rough with his full name but I was probably more nervous then he was.  It was great.

Other than that, not a lot has happened.  We can't leave the house tomorrow because of the water fight.  So far I have not been hit by anything but other missionaries have.  I'm still companions with elder Lambson, so I'm happy, we get along great.  This week we made brownies with ice cream and they were good.  I also made chocolate donut holes.  We found a place that makes the dough and I just added chocolate.  My shoes are doing fine and there are a ton of shoe repair places.

Sorry this is short, I don't have a lot to talk about but I love you all and hope you have a great week.

February 20th, 2017

Life is good here, today we went to some waterfalls that were really close, it was fun.  I love walking around in the tropical forests here, it is cool.

Hopefuly we will have a baptism this Thursday with Gloria and Jhair.  We would normally have it Saturday but we are having transfers this Friday because there is an Ecuadorian holiday on Monday and Tuesday of next week.  They have a huge water fight throughout Ecuador for three days.  Some have started right now.  You just need to keep an eye out for water balloons and stuff.  But it has started raining a lot again, i like it, but at the end of the day your feet are soaked.

Yeah, not a lot happened this week, so sorry this is short, but it is crazy that I have be out for 8 months, time is flying by.  I love you all.  Hasta luego.

February 13th, 2017

Well this week was good.  There are now two more missionaries in our ward.  There were emergency changes again, it's the 3rd one in the past 3 weeks.  But it is nice because we don't have to be running all over the ward anymore, but we lost 2 investigators.

The baptism was great.  The mom and her son, that we are teaching, moved there baptism to the 24th,  they are great investigators.  We baptized a guy, and he was a good investigator, his baptism was cool too.  Not a lot of people were there but we all felt the spirit and he was very happy.

I love speaking Spanish, I had my first real conversation with a member on Saturday when elder Lambson was doing an interview.  Me and a member just started talking about life and when he was baptized, it was cool.  After, I realized that I was speaking in Spanish so it was kind of cool.

Life is good and I'm happy that dad could get the transmission off and that everything looks fixable and that everything is going good for you guys.  I can't believe how fast the mission flies by; in three transfers I will have one year on the mission and we will be getting a new mission president.

I love you guys and hope you have a great week and sorry this is short.

February 6th, 2017

Well, life is good.  Me and some other Elders went and got some great waffles for my birthday, and then me and elder Lambson bought some pizza.  It was fun.

I have another baptism this Saturday, so that should be fun. Our two new investigators are ______, and her son.  I have no idea how to write his name, and I don't really know it.  But they are both great.

The changes to our schedule are nothing big.  We just start studying at 8:30, and we plan in the mornings now, but we stop studying at 10:30, and then continue studying after lunch for one hour and a half, and we have to be in our houses at 9:00 pm.  We can go to bed at 9:30 pm, so that is kind of nice.  And the only change with p-days is that we only study for half an hour.

But, life is good.  I made corn dogs, and we found a taco place that is good, but expensive.  My Spanish is coming along.  It is just cool to finally start being able to teach lessons without srtuggling with Spanish and finally being able to talk with people and get to know them.  Me and elder Lambson get along great, but we mainly speak English.

The conference was good with elder Montoya, he was cool.  I only got to shake his hand.  The picture they have of me shaking his hand is horrible, I stand so weird.  His talk was good.  He talked a lot about how we have the autoridad (authority) to promise blessings.  It was fun.  But some of the questions missionaries asked made me kind of sad, they were questions like:  Does God have confidence in me?  Does the atonement cover all sins?  and If we will be forgiven if we commit the same sin more than once.  When they asked these questions I thought to myself that I have always known that God loves us and the atonement covers all, and we can always repent, and then my thought were focused on you guys, (Mom and Dad).  So I just want to say thanks for teaching me about this gospel, and guiding me in my life and for being great parents, and always being worthy.

Sorry this is short, but I love you all and hope you all have a great week.
